Whatsapp is an instant messaging application available on iOS, Android, BlackBerry Windows Phone and Symbian. Founded in 2009, it is now used by more than a billion people worldwide.
One of the first features of Whatsapp is the free sending of messages to one or more contacts regardless of the destination country.
This requires that users, who wish to send or receive a message, own the application.
Find out how to create an account, sign in, sign out, or delete your Whatsapp account by following the steps below.
Create an account
To create a Whatsapp account, open the application on your phone by clicking on the icon (a green bubble with a white phone).
Confirm your country code and enter your phone number.
You will then receive a confirmation code via SMS on your phone (6 digit code). Enter it into the application to confirm the registration.
Once registration is complete, you can then edit your profile with a photo, description and nickname.
Login to the account
To connect to Whatsapp, nothing could be easier!
Open the application. If your phone number is registered, you are connected!
Log out from the account
Once the application is configured on your phone number, it is not possible to log out of Whatsapp.
You can also delete the application data on your phone or delete the application and restart it to sign up with another phone number.
Delete an account
To delete a Whatsapp account, open the application to access Settings.
Then click on Account and then Delete My Account.
You will then only have to confirm your phone number to confirm the deletion.
Blocking a person on Whatsapp will prevent them from sending you messages or calls. They won’t be able to see your status updates or profile picture changes either.
To block a Whatsapp user, click Settings.
Select Account > Privacy > Blocked Contacts.
Click the “Add…” button to tell the application which person you want to block.
You can also block a contact in a discussion. To do this, click on the person’s profile and then click Block Contact > Block.
